Recognizing the need for a new student activity center along with the creation of an endowment to support the additional expenses for the operation of the building, The Montessori School's Board of Trustees initiated the Strengthening the Foundations of Learning Campaign to raise funds for this very worthy project.  Following a year of preliminary work, the school launched the public phase of the three-year campaign in April of 2006.  In September of 2007, visions turned to reality as students entered the new Student Activity Center for the first time!
New Activity Center

The new building meets the pressing needs of the school and strengthens the foundations of learning for all of our children.

Highlights of the new building:

  • a total of 10,000 square feet
  • a recreational area for physical education classes and other activities
  • a middle school classroom
  • a foreign language classroom
  • business and public relations offices
  • the ability to adequately host student assemblies and other school events
  • additional space for summer storage
  • lobby storage and kitchen areas

We seek your financial support

We have already received generous support from trustees, current families, past parents, grandparents, faculty and staff, alumni, friends, foundations and other organizations which will enable us to continue to provide the best education possible for our children in the future.  We greatly appreciate all gifts to the Strengthening the Foundations of Learning Campaign and hope that you will join us in this final year of the campaign to help ensure quality educational opportunities for generations of children to come.

Gifts are recognized in a variety of ways depending upon the level of giving.  Naming opportunities are still available, and names of donors making a gift of $3,000 or greater will be placed on the donor wall in the lobby of the Student Activity Center.  All donors will be recognized in the campaign's final report.

The Montessori School is a non-profit, 501 (c)(3) organization.

Please join us as we work to build a better tomorrow for many generations of children to come.
