Faculty
The teacher in a Montessori classroom is a facilitator rather than an instructor and serves as a link between the child and the learning environment.
Each Montessori classroom is staffed by two adults: a certified Montessori teacher who has a college degree and Montessori certification, and a classroom assistant who most often has a college degree. In addition to the classroom teachers, the primary program is enriched by specialty teachers in French and physical education and the elementary program by specialty teachers in computer instruction, art, physical education, French and music. The Montessori School also has a full-time librarian and a library with over 11,000 volumes.
