Admissions policies and procedures for the academic program at The Montessori Society of Central Maryland, Inc. (MSCM) have been approved by the Maryland State Department of Education. MSCM is accredited and monitored by the American Montessori Society and the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and is a member of the Association of Independent Maryland Schools. In keeping with our philosophy of serving the best interests of the children, all admissions are on a trial basis with specific trial periods and evaluation procedures to be established as indicated. Children must be enrolled in the Montessori program by age 4 1/2. Children are accepted at any time during the school year up until the spring break if space is available. Elementary students must have prior Montessori experience before being admitted to the program. All students are welcome without regard to race, color, religion, gender, disability or national origin.
